BOWL-O-REE 2008

RESULTS: Pack 33 Scouts raised more than $2,400 through our most successful Bowl-o-Ree yet!  One-third of the Pack and lots of their families participated - congrats to all!

This year's Bowl-o-Ree is at 12 noon on Sunday, March 9 at the AMF-White Plains Lanes, located at Tarrytown Road/Rte 119, phone no. 914-948-2677.  Click here for a map of the area.

All bowlers need to RSVP to quinnw@optonline.net so we can get an accurate headcount and make sure we have enough lanes reserved.  If you don't RSVP, we may not have enough space for your Scout to bowl!!!

The Bowl-o-Ree raises funds for Scouts with special needs, so they can participate just like everyone else.  Last year more than 1/3 of Pack 33 participated, raising an average of $100 each, and we raised $2,100 in total - hopefully we can do even better this year. We need everyone to participate to match our fund-raising success of the past. (funds are raised for needy scouts, but a percentage also goes to Pack 33.)  Even if you can't make it, please consider raising funds for this worthy cause.

You can download a pledge form and instructions by right-clicking here (31k PDF).  Although the form includes space for per-pin pledges, to make it easier we ask that Pack 33 members get fixed amount pledges and bring the money/checks with you to the event

Scouts should arrive promptly, wear their uniforms or last year's $100+ t-shirt, and bring their pledge forms and donated funds.  Please collect all your pledges before the event.

Each Scout must raise at least $30 to bowl for free and get a patch (shoes included also).  Scouts who raise $100 get a special t-shirt.  There are prizes for raising other amounts, but this year we want to focus on having as many Scouts as possible participate, so please come join us no matter how much you raise.  All bowlers get a patch. (Parents can bowl too, but only if they get at least $30 of pledges on their own form!)

As we did last year, the Pack will be buying pizza and drinks for lunch.  Also, there will be special Pack 33 prizes and awards for the dens and individuals for fundraising, participation and bowling!
