Most of our pack
gets uniforms at Liebman's, 510 Main Street, New Rochelle, 914-632-2770. They
are pretty good at knowing what our scouts need. You can also shop at
other area Scout stores (including the Scout Stores in the Empire State Building,
350 Fifth Ave., Suite #430, New York, (212) 651-3090
and in Hawthorne, 41 Saw Mill River Rd, Hawthorne, (914) 773-1216), or online at the
BSA Scout Store as
long you will need to know proper sizes, etc. (make sure to go to the Cub
Scout uniform section).
Scouts usually wear
the hats, long-sleeve shirts with proper insignia, neckerchiefs w/slide, and
official belts. Leaders wear shirts with proper insignia. When buying insignia,
remember we are in the Westchester-Putnam Council, pack number 33, and we wear
the purple World Crest above the left pocket.
Uniforms are
typically worn at pack meetings, den meetings, and other pack functions,
although for events involving running around or other activity such as the
spring picnic, camping trips, etc. the Class B t-shirt (available from the pack)
or other clothing may be appropriate instead.
At "dress-up"
events like the Blue & Gold Dinner, nice pants (blue
or black for Cubs, blue, black, brown or olive Green for Webelos - no sweats)
and shoes are also required.
Award patches for
activities and events (or anything else not listed on the uniform guides) are
not to be attached to uniforms. Many scouts put them on a red felt vest, also
available from Liebman's, which they wear over their uniform. You can also
display them on a banner at home, or anywhere else you would like other than the
uniform.

scout levels and leaders.
